Learn more jti.com The Forklift Operator’s primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently operate industrial trucks to support material handling operations. This includes the movement, loading, unloading, and staging of materials to ensure smooth workflow across the facility. In addition to operating forklifts, the role requires performing general material handler duties tasks as needed. Important Forklift Operators are subject to SubstancesTesting in the following scenarios Pre-Employment, Post Accident, Random, and Reasonable Suspicion.

Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Clean Criminal Background Check
• 1 year of forklift operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must speak fluent english.
• Attention to detail, safety awareness, ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.

Main Areas of Responsibility

• Drive industrial trucks equipped to lift, stack, or move products, equipment, or materials in warehouses, storage yards, or factories.Weigh materials or products and record weights on tags, labels, or production schedules.
• Unload and stack materials in appropriate locations by raising and lowering the lifting device. Load tractor trailers with outgoing products. Tasks may involve loading or unloading materials from pallets, skids, or other lifting devices. Activities can be performed in leaf processing, shipping, receiving areas, or off-site warehouses.
• Required to strictly adhere to all established blending sheets and stacking rules at all times. This includes accurately following material placement, sequencing, labeling, and stacking configurations as specified in the blending documentation and operational guidelines. The operator is responsible for ensuring all movements and handling of materials are executed precisely to support product integrity and overall process excellence.
• Complete a checklist before starting daily operations to ensure the truck is in proper condition. Report any failed items on the checklist to the Facilities Maintenance team immediately. Monitor, inspect, and document industrial lift truck usage and necessary maintenance repairs regularly. Report any incidents that occur during operation. Charge your machine daily.
• Follow safety rules while operating the truck as described by company policy. Keep the area organized in accordance with 5S3R standards. Keep your machine clean and in good operable condition. Follow all IWS guidelines and requirements. Follow all NTRM prevention protocols.

Other (if Applicable) Perform various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request. Operate sweeper machine if required.
