Enjoy making delicious treats and staying busy? Join our team for the Christmas season!

Boodles of Baskets has been creating thoughtful gifts since 1995. We’re looking for a dependable, hardworking team member to make popcorn and help with gift production, packing and stock.

This is a seasonal position, with part-time hours increasing as the Christmas season gets busier. All work takes place in person at our Riverside, East Windsor location.

A valid Food Handler Certificate is required.

This hands-on position combines popcorn production with other daily tasks throughout our gift business. You’ll also help assemble gifts, stock and price products, pack orders and regularly carry supplies between floors using stairs.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely operate popcorn-making equipment, following our recipes, preparation instructions and production procedures.
  • Measure ingredients accurately using basic math skills.
  • Monitor batches for consistent flavour, appearance and quality.
  • Package, seal and label finished popcorn accurately to maintain freshness and presentation.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils and preparation areas according to food safety procedures.
  • Organize ingredients, supplies and packaging materials, and report items running low.
  • Receive, unpack, stock and price products, rotating stock as directed.
  • Help create, wrap and finish beautiful gift baskets following our designs and quality standards.
  • Check orders for accuracy and pack gifts securely for shipping.
  • Carry products, supplies and finished gifts between work areas on different floors, using stairs regularly throughout the day.
  • Help load boxed gifts onto delivery trucks.
  • Keep work areas organized and help teammates complete daily orders.

Physical Requirements — Please Read Before Applying

Duties include:

  • Repeatedly lifting and carrying 10–15 lb boxes, including up and down a full flight of stairs.
  • Carrying bundles of empty shipping boxes downstairs.
  • Standing and moving for extended periods, with scheduled breaks.
  • Working around hot popcorn-making equipment and handling it safely.
  • Bending, reaching and performing repetitive preparation, assembly and packing tasks.
  • Helping the team load shipments that may include 200–300 boxed gifts in a day.

Please apply only if you are comfortable performing these physical tasks regularly throughout your shift.

Who We’re Looking For

  • You hold a valid Food Handler Certificate.
  • You follow recipes, food safety procedures and instructions carefully.
  • You have basic math skills and can measure ingredients and check quantities accurately.
  • You work efficiently while maintaining consistent quality.
  • You take cleanliness, sanitation and safe equipment handling seriously.
  • You learn new tasks readily and apply feedback.
  • You take pride in neat work and attractive presentation.
  • You are reliable, punctual and contribute consistently as part of a team.
  • You are comfortable switching between food preparation, stocking, gift assembly and packing.

Experience in food preparation, baking, confectionery, food production or packing is an asset. Familiarity with food preparation equipment is helpful. A willingness to learn and consistent workmanship are essential.

Hours and Availability

  • Daytime shifts, with hours and workdays increasing as Christmas order volumes grow.
  • Weekend shifts may be required.
  • Shifts may extend up to 12 hours during peak periods, with scheduled breaks.
  • Availability through the Christmas production season is required.
  • Applicants must be available for assigned shifts. We cannot arrange work schedules around another job.

Scheduling details will be discussed during the interview.
