Second Fix Carpenter / General Builder

Limex Building is looking for an experienced, reliable carpenter with strong second fix skills and the versatility to assist with general building work.

Based in Salisbury South, we undertake a variety of renovation, repair and maintenance projects across Adelaide. You’ll join a small, supportive team where quality workmanship, initiative and clear communication are valued.

The position will initially be casual for three months, with the intention of offering ongoing permanent full-time employment to the right person. The applicable hourly rate and employment terms will be confirmed before commencement.

About the role

Your work will include:

• Hanging doors and installing door hardware
• Installing skirtings, architraves and other finishing carpentry
• General property repairs and maintenance
• Minor framing repairs and alterations
• Plasterboard patching and flushing
• Minor painting and finishing work
• Assisting with other building tasks as required

We’re looking for someone who can assess a task, work through problems and deliver a neat finish without needing constant supervision. You’ll also communicate respectfully with clients and keep work areas tidy.

About you

You will bring:

• Solid experience in second fix carpentry
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team
• Practical problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Reliability, a positive attitude and clear communication
• A current driver’s licence and the ability to travel between Adelaide job sites
• Willingness to use ServiceM8 for job notes, photos, time and materials, with training provided

Experience across other building trades is an advantage. You don’t need to know everything, but you do need to be willing to learn and help where needed.
