Second Pressman / Assistant Press Operator — Heidelberg SM-102

We’re hiring a full-time second pressman to support our lead operator on a Heidelberg SM-102. This is an assistant press operator position, not a lead-operator opening. The ability to run the press independently is not required for this support role.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 3–11 p.m. Eastern, following temporary first-shift training from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. Eastern to become familiar with the press, operator and company. We are ready to hire the right person and are targeting a hire within one to two weeks.

Pay

$20–$28 per hour, depending on experience and capabilities. The expected range for the support role is $20–$25 per hour. Candidates who can also independently operate the press may be considered for up to $28 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Set up the feeder.
• Remove used plates and load new plates.
• Replenish ink.
• Clean blankets between print runs.
• Prepare press fluids and top off tanks according to training and established procedures.
• Clean the press at the end of the shift.

Experience

Experience working on an offset press is required. Heidelberg press experience is preferred, particularly with these tasks.
