CNC MACHINE SHOP EXPERIENCE A MUST!
Lead the team. Keep production moving. Build accountability.
SIS is looking for a Second Shift Production Supervisor who can lead a manufacturing team, coordinate daily production, and develop employees while maintaining strong safety and quality standards.
This is a visible, floor-based leadership role. You’ll work closely with Production Leads, Setup Specialists, and Operations Specialists to keep work moving, address issues, and make sure employees understand what’s expected of them.
We’re looking for someone who can balance immediate production needs with consistent communication, fair accountability, and employee development.
About SIS
Founded in 1989, SIS is part of EIS Fabrication Solutions. We manufacture precision components from high-performance plastics, composites, and other non-metallic materials for industries including power generation, aerospace and defense, medical equipment, and oil and gas.
Our work ranges from prototypes to production runs, with components used in electrical insulation, power generation equipment, medical imaging systems, and other demanding applications.
What you’ll do
- Lead second-shift production, assigning qualified employees and coordinating staffing, equipment, and priorities to meet the production schedule.
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor, reinforce safety and quality standards, and address concerns promptly.
- Monitor output, downtime, scrap, and work in progress; resolve barriers within your authority and escalate issues with clear information.
- Set expectations, coach employees, manage attendance and performance, and partner with HR on corrective action when needed.
- Coordinate training and skill development with Production Leads, Setup Specialists, and Operations Specialists.
- Provide clear shift handoffs covering job status, staffing, equipment concerns, quality issues, and priorities for the next shift.
What you’ll bring
- Previous manufacturing supervisory experience, including direct responsibility for employee performance and production results.
- Experience in CNC machining, with an understanding of setups, machine operation, quality checks, and production flow.
- The ability to organize competing priorities and make practical decisions about staffing and workflow.
- Demonstrated success coaching employees, addressing performance concerns, and applying expectations consistently.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including sound judgment about when to involve Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, HR, or senior leadership.
- Availability to lead second shift and provide additional coverage when required.
Our equipment includes Haas and Smart mills and lathes, along with KOMO, Heian, and Homag routers. Experience machining plastics or composites is helpful; comparable manufacturing experience is welcome.
Why join us?
Take ownership of a production shift and help build a capable, accountable team. You’ll work with production leadership and technical resources to improve shift execution, develop employees, and contribute directly to business results.
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) match: 100% on your first 3% contributed, plus 50% on the next 3%.
- Paid time off and paid holidays.
- Company-paid basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, plus short- and long-term disability coverage.
- HSA/FSA options, including company HSA contributions for eligible medical plans.
- Employee Assistance Program, PerkSpot discounts, and optional supplemental and pet insurance.
Benefits are subject to eligibility and applicable plan terms.
If you’re ready to lead from the floor, develop your team, and deliver consistent production results, we’d like to hear from you. Apply today.
