Role and Responsibilities

The following is a listing of the role and responsibilities of a Shift Supervisor. This is not an all-inclusive list. Additional responsibilities may be added as needed.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES

PROVIDE SUPERIER LEADERSHMP AND MANAGEMENT TO THE SHIFT

· Report maintenance problems using work order request

· Coordinate with shipping to ensure on time deliveries (Do not miss due dates)

· Oversee personnel- recommend pay raises, discipline, etc.

· Ensure all employees are properly trained

· Ensure machine is running properly to avoid down-time

· Conduct weekly shift meetings (goals, machine issues, procedure changes, safety, quality)

· Maintain a cross training plan within the shift to provide an ongoing continuous employee education

· Explore continuous improvement opportunities

· Train employees on acceptable quality

· Maintain a forklift certification

· Communicate and work closely with all team members

· Must have a working knowledge of the overall machine both mechanically and operationally

· Set an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance to promote a team environment

· Enforce all company rules and policies

· Set the example appearance, demeanor and following the rules

Physical Requirements

· Be able to stand/ walk during the entire shift

· Be able to lift 15lbs from the ground overhead

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Must be able to lead a team

Must be able to read a tape measure

Must have basic math skills

Must have complex decision-making skills

Must be detail oriented

Be an effective communicator

Must be able to effectively manage time and resources

Strong Mechanical aptitude

Strong Leadership Skills

Basic computer knowledge

Legal to work in the United States

Reliable means of transportation

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
