Secondary Foundation Instructional Assistant

About the role

Canadian International School is seeking a talented and dedicated Instructional Assistant to join our team in the West Region. This full-time position will play a vital role in supporting our students and teachers in the classroom.

What you'll be doing

• Provide English instructional support to teachers and Secondary students in the classroom
• Assist with preparing and organising teaching materials and resources
• Help monitor and supervise students during lessons and other activities
• Collaborate with teachers to implement lesson plans and support student learning
• Contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Perform administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and data entry as needed

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as an Instructional Assistant or in a similar educational support role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with educational technology
• A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the academic and personal growth of students
