Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and accommodate various learning styles.
• Teach a range of secondary math courses.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and a growth mindset.
• Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and progress.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and changes in the mathematics curriculum.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor students during extracurricular activities, such as math clubs or competitions.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification or license in secondary mathematics education.
• Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, with a track record of improving student outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of current educational practices and curriculum standards in mathematics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and build relationships.
• Proficient in using educational technology and software to enhance instruction.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
