Secondary School Physics Teacher

Job Summary:

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and creative Secondary School Physics Teacher to join our dynamic Science Department. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction across Lower Secondary Science, Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge AS/A Level, Edexcel AS/A Level and IBDP Physics. This role also contributes to the school’s character and values education, as well as student leadership development.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning:

• Plan and deliver effective Physics & Science lessons aligned with the curriculum standards.
• Teach Lower Secondary Science, IGCSE, AS/A Level, and IBDP Physics.
• Monitor and assess student performance, offering feedback and targeted support.
• Collaborate with the Science Department to develop curriculum and teaching materials.
• Encourage a supportive, inquiry-based learning environment.

Pastoral & Student Development:

• Promote character development and value-based education.
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being.
• Engage with students in co-curricular and leadership activities.

Collaboration & Professional Development:

• Contribute to departmental meetings, school events, and professional growth opportunities.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular programs.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Science or a related field
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGDE, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience
• Experience teaching IGCSE, AS/A Level, or IBDP Physics

Desirable:

• Experience teaching high-achieving students
