It is known as the cultural capital of the UAE, with museums, traditional souks, parks, and a strong focus on education and heritage. Many residents are expatriates, and the city has a diverse, multicultural population while still maintaining more conservative local values and rules. It is a popular choice for families and professionals who work in Dubai but prefer quieter and lower-cost living. Dubai is not far away for extravagant shopping and nighgtlife.
