Please note: This role is for local hire only.

Join us and inspire our exceptional international students to reach their full potential.

About the Role:

You will be an integral part of our cover teaching team, providing high-quality supervision and continuity of learning during teacher absences. You will be called in on a regular to cover lessons across a range of subject areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons and maintaining a positive classroom environment
  • Supporting student learning and behaviour in line with school policies
  • Covering lessons on a regular basis
  • Flexibly covering across other subjects when required

What we are looking for

  • A qualified teacher with recognised teaching credentials
  • Experienced in working with secondary-aged students (ideally in an international setting)
  • Confident with classroom management and flexible in approach
  • Positive, proactive, and a strong team player
  • Effective in communication and building relationships with students and staff.

Why Bangkok Patana?

Our campus offers state-of-the-art facilities, including specialist collaborative areas for mathematics, extensive digital resources, and a thriving extracurricular programme. Set in vibrant Bangkok, you will enjoy one of the most dynamic cities in Asia with a welcoming expatriate community, excellent professional development opportunities, and a supportive, collaborative team culture.

Is this a good fit for you?

We are looking for a teacher who combines deep subject knowledge with the ability to engage students in mathematical learning. You will bring proven experience in high-performing schools, a dynamic approach to curriculum design and enrichment activities, and the flexibility to thrive in a diverse and ambitious international community. Highly adaptable and collaborative, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

Our Mission and Values:

Our mission is to ensure that students of different nationalities grow to their full potential as independent learners in a caring British international community. We develop global citizens who shape their world through independence, empathy, creativity and critical thinking.

Safeguarding Commitment:

We expect all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share our commitment and to review and affirm that they have read, understood and will abide by our safeguarding policies. We use recruitment practices and pre-employment background checks to maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and child safety. These are aligned with the written expectations of the International Taskforce on Child Protection.

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Anti-Discrimination

Our polices and practice are shaped by the diverse international community we serve. We treat all members of our School community including colleagues, students and members of the public fairly and consistently, in a non-discriminatory manner and with proper regard for their rights and obligations.

Application Process:

If you are passionate about secondary teaching and learning and eager to contribute to a leading international school community, we welcome your completed application found in the TES portal.

(*Check that you have answered all questions before final submission. Your data previously stored on the old TES portal or Schrole may not always populate the application form as expected.)

Include a personalised letter addressed to Secondary Principal, Matt Seddon, which demonstrates how your qualifications, philosophy of education, experience, skills and attributes enable you to meet the essential and desirable requirements of the post.

Upload an up-to-date CV with your fully completed application form. Provide the names and contact details of three referees. In line with our safer recruitment practices, two written references must be from your current employer:

  • one from your line manager

  • one from your Head of School or Principal.

Successful candidates who are British, or who have lived or worked in the UK for more than six months, will be required to submit a current International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC) issued by ACRO.

We reserve the right to make an appointment before the application deadline.
