Section Manager Engineering (Forging Process & Design)

About the role

This role involves managing and overseeing engineering work in Forging manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets. You will plan, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to increase production efficiency and reduce costs, while overseeing the design and development of manufacturing processes for new products (New Model / New Product Introduction).

Key responsibilities

• Manage and control engineering work in Forging manufacturing processes to meet QCD targets
• Plan, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to increase production efficiency and reduce costs
• Oversee design and development of manufacturing processes for new products (New Model / New Product Introduction)
• Analyse technical problems in Forging processes and establish systematic solutions
• Manage projects related to Productivity Improvement, Cost Reduction, and Automation
• Establish work standards and develop manufacturing processes in accordance with IATF 16949 quality system and customer requirements
• Support APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, Run @ Rate, and Customer Audit activities
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Tooling, and Supply Chain departments
• Manage, develop, and build the capability of engineering teams for efficient performance
• Participate in planning production capacity, machinery, and engineering investments

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in industrial factories
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing teams at Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or Manager level
• Direct experience in Hot Forging, Warm Forging, Metal Forming, Machining, or Automotive Parts Manufacturing industries
