About the role

Join the growing and dynamic team at Crowne Plaza Auckland as a Section Waiter! One Twenty 8 is a bold new dining destination built on the heat of the flame and the richness of New Zealand’s finest ingredients. Our concept centres on smoke, wood, and char, infusing every dish with depth, heat, and an unmistakable connection to land and fire.

This is a permanent, full-time role with a guaranteed 30 hours per week.

What you'll be doing:

• Welcoming and seating guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Taking food and beverage orders and communicating these efficiently to the kitchen and bar teams
• Serving food and drinks to guests in a timely and attentive manner
• Maintaining a clean and tidy service area at all times
• Assisting with the set-up and pack-down of the restaurant and bar areas
• Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene standards are upheld
• Contributing to a positive team environment and providing excellent customer service

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, ideally in a hotel or restaurant environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
• Excellent time management and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• A passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to contribute to an exceptional guest experience
