About us

Felix is a 50-seater restaurant & bar tucked up Downes Lane, within Geelong’s bustling Lt. Malop St precinct. We opened in May 2021 and are looking to expand operations and our team into 2025 and beyond.

Our menu is French inspired, sourcing the freshest ingredients. The drinks list evolves constantly and is inspired by the best small-scale wineries, breweries and cocktail bars from around the globe.

We are proud to be the sister restaurant to:

• Alma - a South American inspired restaurant who has been quietly kicking goals since 2017
• Barwon Edge - bringing fresh Middle Eastern flavours to a gorgeous site on the banks of the Barwon River
• Our newest addition to the group - The Batesford Hotel, our modern take on a classic country pub.

Ideal candidate

We're looking for an experienced restaurant section waiter who can open or close a restaurant. We want someone who will bring their passion for food & drinks, warm personality & strong sense of professionalism to the team.

We take a flexible approach to hiring – but we do have a few dealbreakers. These are the basics we need all candidates to bring to the table. You:

• Can comfortably manage a section in an a la carte setting
• Have experience taking/managing bookings and juggling floorplans
• Can delegate tasks to team members and communicate respectfully, even when busy
• Will have a keen eye for detail and an intuition for guest satisfaction

Bonus points

We will give you bonus points for

• experience and/or formal training in wine, beer & spirits tasting as well as cocktail making and development
• experience in fine dining
• a love of dad jokes.

At the end of the day experience is important to us – but is not a deal breaker. We believe that passion, attitude and a desire to learn are just as important as your last job.

Pay: $34.00 – $60.00 per hour
