Sectional Title Bookkeeper/Accountant

We are an established property management company in Cape Town and are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Head Office on a full time basis.

The ideal candidate would have 3 years experience or more in a similar position or environment, with references. Experience in Sectional Title management would be a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Generation and distribution of monthly management reports to the Trustees together with supporting documentation

Preparation of financials for auditing purposes and liaising with auditors

Supervising the reconciliation of cashbooks and general ledger postings by Bookkeeper

Liaising with Portfolio Managers and Trustees in drawing up annual budgets / estimates and loading figures into the system

Reporting to and liaising with Financial Manager on an ongoing basis

Handling financial queries by phone / e-mail and attending Trustee meetings

Skills:

Knowledge of financial management and accounting principles

High standard of computer literacy

Capable in all aspects of Microsoft Office

Attention to detail

Accuracy with figures

Strong numerical and problem solving skills

Proficient in English

Sound interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)

Time management

Ability to work independently and within a team
