Secuirty officer

We’re looking for professional, customer-focused security officers to join our team at a high-profile public facility in Parramatta. This venue welcomes a large number of visitors every day, including families, school groups, tourists and corporate guests, so we need guards who represent our company and the client to the highest standard.

Start date: Thursday 30th October (paid training shifts beforehand)

Roster:

• Monday to Thursday, Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 to 17:00
• Friday: 10:00 to 21:00

About the role
The position is mainly static with some roving patrols. You’ll often be the first point of contact for visitors, so customer service is just as important as security. Duties include:

• Welcoming visitors and providing directions and general information
• Monitoring entry and exit points and keeping a visible security presence
• Conducting roving patrols of internal and external areas
• Responding to incidents calmly and professionally, and reporting accurately
• Assisting with crowd flow during busy periods and events
• Working closely with venue staff and management

What we’re looking for

• Current NSW Security Licence (Class 1A minimum)
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
• Strong communication skills and good written English for reports
• Immaculate presentation and a professional attitude at all times
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Calm under pressure, with good judgement when dealing with the public
• Experience in venue, front-of-house, retail or public-facing security is highly regarded
• First Aid certificate is an advantage

Availability: You must be able to commit to a minimum of 4 days per week.

Pay: $31.00 – $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 53.0 per week
