Securities Litigation Associate

A leading international law firm is seeking a Securities Litigation Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its highly regarded litigation practice in Boston, New York or San Francisco.

The successful candidate will work on sophisticated securities and complex commercial disputes, including securities class actions, derivative litigation, shareholder disputes, corporate governance matters and other high-stakes business litigation. The role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced securities litigators, former government enforcement attorneys and other specialists on significant matters for major clients.

The salary range for this position is $260,000–$390,000, depending on experience and location.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in federal and state securities litigation, including securities class actions.
• Handle derivative suits, shareholder disputes, merger-related litigation and other complex corporate disputes.
• Advise on matters involving federal and state securities laws, fiduciary duties and corporate governance.
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and draft substantive motions, briefs and other court filings.
• Manage discovery, including document production, written discovery and depositions.
• Assist in developing case strategy across complex, high-stakes disputes.
• Work on complex commercial and business litigation matters.
• Support SEC investigations, internal investigations and related regulatory or enforcement matters where applicable.
• Communicate directly with clients and take increasing responsibility for the day-to-day management of matters.

Qualifications:

• 3–6 years of significant law firm litigation experience.
• Experience in securities litigation, complex commercial litigation and/or business litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills.
• Substantive experience with motion practice, discovery and depositions.
• Experience handling sophisticated disputes involving securities laws, shareholder claims, fiduciary duties, corporate governance or class actions is highly desirable.
• Experience with SEC investigations, internal investigations or regulatory enforcement matters is advantageous.
• Experience with complex commercial dockets, including the Massachusetts Business Litigation Session (BLS), is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong client service skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.
• Admitted to practice in the relevant jurisdiction or eligible for admission by waiver.
