Security Active Directory Entra-ID Engineer

Role & responsibilities

This role focuses on managing and supporting the organization's Microsoft Identity infrastructure, with primary responsibility for On-Premises Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

The candidate will work in a Hybrid Identity environment, ensuring seamless integration and synchronization between On-Premises AD and cloud identity services. The role involves AD infrastructure administration, Entra ID operations, identity synchronization, Conditional Access, federation/SSO and identity integrations. This position will also involve collaborating with the broader IAM/IGA and IT Security teams to maintain secure, reliable and highly available identity services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of On-Premises Active Directory infrastructure
• Monitoring, backup and lifecycle management of AD
• Engineering and operations of Entra ID identity services
• Managing hybrid identity and synchronization
• Supporting Conditional Access policies
• Working on federation and identity integrations
• Supporting IAM / IGA processes and integrations
• Ensuring availability and continuous improvement of AD and Entra ID services

Preferred candidate profile :

Important Requirement:
The client is specifically looking for candidates with 6+ years of experience, with predominant hands-on experience in On-Premises Active Directory. Active Directory should be the primary/core area of experience, with Entra ID/Azure AD as a supporting skill.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD)
• Strong hands-on On-Premises Active Directory experience Mandatory
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
• Mandatory experience in both On-Premises and Cloud environments
• Experience with Hybrid Identity architecture and synchronization
• Experience with Azure AD Connect / Entra Connect
• Experience with Conditional Access policies
• Experience with Federation Services / SSO / Identity Integration
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Identity & Access Management
• Knowledge of IAM / IGA and IT Security
• LDAP experience is an added advantage
• Knowledge of PKI / Certificate Services is an advantage
