The position requires sound judgment, professionalism, attention to detail, and strict adherence to Quanta policies, post orders, customer requirements, and applicable training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and operate CCTV, access-control, alarm, and other physical security systems in accordance with assigned duties and established procedures.

  • Control access at designated entry points. Verify badges, credentials, visitor authorization, and access permissions before permitting entry into controlled areas.

  • Professionally deny or delay access when required credentials or authorization cannot be verified, and coordinate with Physical Security management, HR, IT, or the appropriate business contact when additional verification is required.

  • Monitor controlled entry points for tailgating or piggybacking. Require each individual to use an authorized credential or follow the approved visitor/escort process, and report suspected unauthorized-entry attempts.

  • Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols in all weather conditions to identify security, safety, access-control, perimeter, door, gate, fence, lighting, and other physical-security concerns.

  • Inspect assigned buildings, doors, windows, emergency exits, security equipment, and other designated areas; promptly report deficiencies, damage, unsecured conditions, or suspicious activity.

  • Respond to and document security incidents, suspicious activity, trespassing, alarms, fire-related events, policy violations, and other situations within the authority and training provided by Quanta.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and objective security documentation, including daily activity reports, patrol records, incident reports, access-related records, observations, relevant video references, and required signatures.

  • Preserve confidentiality and protect sensitive company, employee, customer, security-system, and investigation information obtained through assigned duties.

  • Maintain assigned firearm and security equipment in a safe, secure, and serviceable condition. Carry and use a firearm only as authorized by law, Quanta policy, post orders, and approved training. (If applicable to your position)

  • Maintain professional conduct, appearance, situational awareness, and command presence while on duty, and immediately escalate significant security or safety concerns through the established chain of command.

  • Perform other security-related duties as assigned by Physical Security management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of two years of successful, relevant security, military, law-enforcement, protective-services, or comparable experience preferred; equivalent experience may be considered based on business needs.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain all licenses, registrations, certifications, and training required for assigned armed-security duties.

  • Working knowledge of computers and the ability to learn access-control, video-surveillance, reporting, and other security software systems.

  • Experience using security equipment, CCTV, access-control, or surveillance systems preferred.

  • First Aid and CPR/BLS certification preferred. Law-enforcement or military experience is preferred but not required.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills with the ability to remain professional, tactful, and composed during difficult or ambiguous situations.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, visitors, contractors, management, and executive leadership.

  • Sound judgment, integrity, discretion, reliability, and the ability to follow established policies, post orders, and chain-of-command requirements.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively as part of a security team.

  • Strong organization, observation, documentation, and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
