Security Agent – Upscale Hotel

Shield Defense Agency LLC is seeking dependable, professional, and customer-service-oriented Security Agents to provide security services at an upscale hospitality property in the St. Louis area.

This position requires more than simply maintaining a security presence. Our agents interact regularly with hotel guests, employees, visitors, and management and are expected to represent both Shield Defense Agency and the client with professionalism at all times.

Schedule

This position consists primarily of 12-hour overnight shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with one daytime shift available. Candidates will be assigned to one of the following schedules:

Schedule 1

• Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Tuesday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Wednesday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Thursday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Schedule 2

• Sunday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Monday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Friday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Saturday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Applicants should have reliable availability for their assigned schedule and be prepared to consistently work 12-hour shifts.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the property.
• Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, parking areas, and other designated locations.
• Respond appropriately to disturbances, suspicious activity, guest concerns, and security-related incidents.
• Assist hotel management and staff when security assistance is requested.
• Utilize verbal de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques whenever appropriate.
• Document incidents and daily activity through required reports.
• Immediately communicate significant incidents to Shield Defense Agency leadership and designated client personnel.
• Assist with emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, evacuations, and law-enforcement response.
• Maintain professional interaction with guests while balancing hospitality and security responsibilities.
• Arrive on time and in complete, clean, and professional Shield Defense Agency uniform for every scheduled shift.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess or be able to obtain all security licensing required for the assignment.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Have a reliable means of communication.
• Be dependable and able to report for scheduled shifts on time.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Possess strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be capable of remaining calm and professional during stressful or confrontational situations.
• Be able to complete required reports accurately and professionally.
• Be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform routine patrol duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security, military, corrections, or law-enforcement experience.
• Previous hotel, hospitality, nightlife, or customer-service experience.
• Experience with conflict resolution and verbal de-escalation.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience preparing security incident reports and daily activity reports.
