Security Alarm Installer

Position Overview

SecureHawk is a fast-growing Utah-based commercial security integrator providing video surveillance, access control, and smart security solutions for commercial customers across education, retail, multifamily housing, and commercial real estate.

SecureHawk is looking for an experienced Security Alarm Installer with a broad commercial security background and a strong hands-on approach. Experience across security alarms, intrusion detection, access control, surveillance, fire alarm, low-voltage systems, or related technologies can translate well into this position.

You'll work on modern commercial security projects while taking ownership of high-quality execution at customer sites.

This is a full-time, W2, field-based position reporting directly to company leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot commercial security and low-voltage systems
• Install access control equipment including readers, controllers, electronic locks, strikes, and related hardware
• Install and configure commercial IP surveillance cameras and associated equipment
• Pull, terminate, test, and organize CAT5e/CAT6 and other low-voltage cabling
• Work with intrusion, security, access control, surveillance, and related integrated systems
• Read wiring diagrams, prints, installation documentation, and job specifications
• Troubleshoot installation and system issues independently
• Perform service calls, upgrades, and equipment replacements
• Document completed work and communicate job status to leadership
• Maintain professional installation and cable management standards
• Represent SecureHawk professionally at commercial customer sites
• Travel to installation projects throughout Utah and across the United States

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Commercial experience with security alarms, access control, surveillance, fire alarm, low-voltage systems, or security integration
• Experience working on commercial rather than exclusively residential installations
• Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring and structured cabling
• Hands-on CAT5e/CAT6 installation and termination experience
• Experience with access control and/or commercial surveillance strongly preferred
• Familiarity with networking and IP-connected equipment
• Strong mechanical and technical problem-solving skills
• Able to take ownership of installations without continuous field supervision
• Comfortable working on ladders and performing physical installation work
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Comfortable traveling for installation projects

Additional Details

Location: Field-based — Northern Utah

Travel: Utah and nationwide project travel required. Business travel expenses are covered.

Pay: $31.00 - $53.00 per hour
