About the role

LIFEBANK-A RURAL BANK is seeking a dedicated Security and Safety professional to join our team in Santa Barbara, Iloilo. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in safeguarding our personnel, assets, and operations. As a rural bank operating within the Banking & Financial Services sector, we recognise that robust security measures are essential to maintaining client trust and ensuring the smooth functioning of our business. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining comprehensive security protocols that protect our branch, staff, and customers from potential risks and threats. Your work will directly contribute to creating a safe and secure banking environment for everyone who enters our facility.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the bank premises, including all areas of the building and surrounding grounds, to detect and prevent unauthorised access or suspicious activity
• Operate and maintain security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control mechanisms
• Conduct thorough security inspections and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend improvements
• Manage visitor access and maintain accurate records of all individuals entering and exiting the premises
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergency situations, and alarms, and take appropriate action in accordance with established protocols
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
• Ensure compliance with all security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements specific to banking institutions
• Conduct security briefings and training sessions for staff members to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols
• Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of all security-related events
• Perform cash handling security duties, including verification and secure storage of funds during banking operations
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour at all times whilst representing the bank

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in a security or safety role, preferably within a financial institution or banking environment
• Strong knowledge of security systems, surveillance equipment, and access control technologies
• Excellent physical fitness and ability to respond quickly to security threats or emergency situations
• Sound judgment, integrity, and trustworthiness, with the ability to handle sensitive information responsibly
• Outstanding observational and communication skills to detect irregularities and report findings clearly
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure whilst making sound decisions
• Valid security licence or relevant security certifications (preferred)
• Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and industry-specific security standards
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays if required
• Strong attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping abilities
• Team player with the capability to work independently and take initiative when necessary
