SECURITY & SAFETY OFFICER

Key Accountabilities:

• Implement and enforce security guidelines and supervise daily security functions Drive effective security/safety programs and initiative to minimize security/safety risks and achieve zero-theft/zero-injury culture
• Responsible and to ensure that the aquarium comply with the fire safety requirement as per fire safety code
• Document security/ safety review and make recommendations in security/ safety program. Provide comprehensive reports on findings and recommend solution. Follow up on all outstanding issues.
• Generate, maintain & enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). All changes are to be documented with subsequent approvals. This must be synchronized with KL Convention Center’s SOPs.
• Conduct Regular Training & Briefings for all staff with respect to Security, Emergency & Evacuation Procedures.
• Maintain records of all security and fire safety matters
• To manage, operate, repair & maintain the CCTV Systems.

Qualification:

• High school / diploma or equivalent is minimum educational requirement.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is often required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are important for documenting incidents and effectively communicating with colleagues and the public.
• The ability to interact with the public, employees, and handle conflict or crisis situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
• Understanding and knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to security and safety is essential.
• Security and safety officers may need to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be available for on-call duty.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience in security and safety is preferred.
