Security Architect

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Security Architect to join a large international organization and contribute to complex architecture initiatives involving multiple entities and information systems.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, reviewing and governing target architectures, with a strong focus on security, performance, scalability, integration and compliance with architecture standards.

You will work closely with architecture, security, product, development and technology teams, as well as architecture governance bodies.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce a General Architecture Design (GAD) document for each solution.

• Gather and formalize non-functional requirements when they are missing or incomplete.

• Ensure that the target architecture meets both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, security, availability and scalability.

• Define and contribute to the Product Information System Strategy.

• Lead or contribute to RFI, RFP and POC initiatives related to tools and technologies.

• Organize and facilitate technology awareness and knowledge-sharing sessions.

• Maintain and manage the Application Portfolio.

• Contribute to and maintain the Architecture Reference Framework, including principles, patterns, rules, standards and tools.

• Provide on-demand architectural support to development teams.

• Ensure that proposed solutions comply with the organization's architecture and security standards.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their relevance to business and technical needs.

Required Expertise

• Strong experience in Security Architecture.

• Proven experience designing and implementing complex IT architectures.

• Experience with architectures shared across multiple entities or business units.

• Strong understanding of application architecture and system integration.

• Expertise in security architecture principles, patterns and standards.

• Good knowledge of new and emerging technologies.

• Experience with architecture governance and review processes.

• Ability to assess functional and non-functional requirements.

• Strong understanding of performance, scalability, resilience and security considerations.

• Experience with RFI / RFP / POC processes.

• Ability to define and maintain architecture standards and reference architectures.

Experience

• 8+ years of professional IT experience.

• At least 5 years of strong architecture expertise, preferably with a significant focus on Security Architecture.

• Proven track record in designing and implementing complex, enterprise-level architectures.

• Experience working in large-scale and international environments is highly appreciated

Languages

• Fluent English and French are mandatory.
