Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Security Architect dedicated to embedding security by design across platforms. You will lead efforts to ensure solutions meet regulatory obligations and industry best practices, without direct involvement in technical implementations. Your primary focus will be on governance, independent review, and risk assessment activities, influencing security decisions across a variety of domains.

Core Responsibilities:

• Security Governance: Participate in review boards, endorsing security standards and controls.
• Security Architecture Assurance: Oversee design approvals, acting as a security authority.
• Security Risk Management: Conduct threat assessments, guiding risk treatment strategies.
• Supplier and Cloud Assurance: Evaluate vendors and cloud solutions using security evidence.
• Compliance and Regulatory Assurance: Align with standards such as NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, and UK GDPR.
• Security Advisory: Offer clear security insights to stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proven expertise in information and cyber security, architecture assurance, or DevOps.
• Ability to manage security risks and frameworks effectively.
• Strong knowledge of cloud and enterprise technology architecture.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Desirable Certifications/Qualifications:

• CCSP, CISSP, or CISM.
• Familiarity with Architectural Methodologies (UEM, TOGAF, SABSA).
• ISO 27001 qualifications.
