Security Associate (Security Guard)

Requirement:

1. Able to work on shift.

2. Have knowledge about safety and security matters.

3. Prefer candidates with working experience in hotel/hospitality.

Standard Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensures maximum protection to the fire and person of the hotel’s guests and employees and that their properties are safeguarded against loss/damage.

2. To greet all guest in a courteous and friendly manner i.e. always smile

3. Monitor soliciting by call girl’s pimps and touts in the hotel.

4. Performs rounds in the service and public areas and conduct checks on fire control panels and fire extinguishers to ensure that all are in good working condition and to report to the Security Shift Leader or Security Supervisor on duty any time on equipment which is faulty.

5. Ensures that no unauthorized persons or undesirable elements are permitted to loiter in or around the hotel premises.

6. Reports immediately to the Shift Leader or Senior Security Guard on duty any act or mischief by outsider’s guest or employee resulting in loss or damaged to hotel property.

7. Liaises closely with all department in matters pertaining to security and ensures that day – to day routine relating to search of employee parcels are strictly adhered to.

8. Escort cashiers from the various F&B outlets to the General Cashier’s office whenever required.

9. Performs crowd or traffic control duty during special or major events, and direct vehicles to park at authorized parking lots.

10. Assists in maintenance of continuous surveillance of those areas frequented by guest and work area of employees

11. Ensures that all employees abide by the hotel rules and regulation.

12. Creates the highest standards of security at all times, be professional in attitude, appearance and application.

13. Performs traffic control duty at the front driveway and ensures the smooth flow of traffic at all times

14. Ensure that any articles or equipment taken out by employees are authorized and accompanied by a parcel pass duty signed by Division/Department Heads concerned.

15. To be properly attired when on duty and to have discipline at all times.

16. Monitor and maintain all office collaterals and supplies

17. Any other duties task as and when assigned or required from time to time.

Key Responsibilities/Major Tasks:

1. Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.

2. Exercises responsible behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel management team.

3. Reads the hotel's Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.

4. Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required.

5. Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,900.00 per month
