Security Responsibilities (Designated Events Only)
- Provide access control, monitor restricted production areas, and protect assigned personnel and equipment during authorized security assignments.
- Observe, document, and report incidents, threats, and safety concerns; coordinate with venue security and emergency responders as appropriate.
- Use de-escalation and follow event security plans, emergency procedures, company policies, and applicable law.
- Perform armed security duties only when expressly assigned by AGPAV management and legally authorized; no routine armed duty is implied for AV assignments.

- Ability to work variable event hours and travel as assignments require.
Texas Licensing & Training
- Texas DPS Level II training and Level III commissioned officer training/qualification, as applicable to the candidate’s licensing pathway.
- Required psychological/emotional health documentation and firearms qualification for commissioned licensing, subject to DPS rules and exemptions.
- Texas License to Carry (LTC) is preferred, but does not substitute for Level III commissioned security credentials.
- Level IV Personal Protection Officer credentials may be required for assignments legally classified as personal protection services; Level III alone does not authorize such duties.
Preferred Credentials
- CPR/AED/First Aid; AVIXA CTS; Dante certification; OSHA 10 training.
- Texas LTC; Texas Level IV Personal Protection Officer license; TCOLE background or comparable military/law enforcement training.
- Experience with corporate event security, wireless microphones, audio networking, video systems, and LED production.

Work may include extended standing, indoor/outdoor environments, evening/weekend schedules, and handling AV equipment (up to approximately 50 lb with appropriate assistance). Employees must represent AGPAV professionally, safeguard client information, and follow all venue, safety, security, and equipment procedures.
Important Compliance Note
Armed security services may be performed only under the appropriate Texas DPS business licensing/registration structure and within the scope of the officer’s credentials. AGPAV should verify its authority to provide security at third-party client events before deploying this position in an armed capacity. Venue rules and applicable interstate laws must be checked for out-of-state assignments.
