Security DevSecOps Specialist – NV1 Cleared | CanberraOur client, a global Defence sustainment and engineering services provider, is looking for an experienced information assurance and security professional to join their Canberra team.

You'll interpret information assurance and security policy to manage risk and develop control solutions across complex Defence systems, working closely with accreditation authorities and project stakeholders.

This is a senior, policy-heavy role for someone who wants to work close to where Defence information assurance policy actually gets applied, not just written about.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct information assurance reviews supporting accreditation across complex domains and classification levels
• Guide compliance control implementation in products and systems
• Investigate security breaches and recommend improvements
• Maintain inventories of legislated data and conduct risk assessments
• Prepare reports for relevant authorities, ensuring compliance requirements are met
• Liaise directly with accreditation authorities and project stakeholders to progress sign-off on complex systems

What you'll bring

Must-have:

• 8-10 years' experience in IT roles with information security exposure
• Extensive experience with the ISM and Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF)
• Background leading cyber security initiatives within ASD, Defence Digital Group (DDG) or CASG
• Recent experience authoring Defence ICT Security documentation for systems achieving an ATO

Desirable:

• DevSecOps and Agile methodologies
• Defence Strategic and Deployed Networks experience

Essential requirement
This role requires an NV1 security clearance.
