Clockwork is looking for two observant, dependable people to join our security and door team. You’re one of the first people guests meet, and you help set the tone for their entire night.

We’re a restaurant and cocktail bar in downtown Raleigh with great music, a room full of personality, and a team that cares about the details. Our Nutcracker Christmas bar brings an especially busy holiday season, so attentiveness and teamwork matter.

We rarely have issues. Being good with people, staying aware, and addressing small concerns early are central to this role. We’re looking for someone who can welcome guests, communicate respectfully, and use good judgment while keeping the room safe and comfortable.

What the job involves

• Checking IDs carefully and following entry policies.
• Assessing arriving guests for signs of excessive intoxication and communicating concerns to management.
• Monitoring the entrance and room throughout the night.
• Responding calmly to concerns and involving management when needed.
• Clearing glassware throughout the shift.
• Completing end-of-night cleaning duties.

Shift hours

9 or 10 p.m.–3:30 a.m. (End times vary based on the night/business)

Our interview process

We start with a phone screening, followed by an in-person interview with our manager and owner. The final step is a stage—a paid working trial shift where you can meet the team, experience the pace, and get a feel for Clockwork. It’s a chance for both sides to see whether we’re a good fit. Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 20.0 per week
