Job Title – Vulnerability Management / Threat Hunting Consultant

Location – Onsite, Dallas Texas/Plato Texas, IL – 5 days per week

Role Type – 6-Month Contract

Must Have Skills:

• Proven experience leading proactive threat hunts, investigating suspicious activity, and validating security threats using logs, telemetry, and behavioral data
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python to analyze large security datasets and identify threats, anomalies, and attack patterns
• Experience creating, tuning, and improving security detections, alerts, anomaly detection logic, and monitoring capabilities while reducing false positives
• Deep experience analyzing authentication, application, API, network, endpoint, cloud, and other security telemetry to identify malicious or suspicious behavior

Responsibilities and Job Details:

• Lead proactive threat hunting initiatives across enterprise environments to identify and investigate advanced threats
• Analyze security telemetry from endpoint, network, cloud, authentication, application, and API sources to detect suspicious activity
• Develop, enhance, and optimize security detections, alerts, and monitoring capabilities
• Perform in-depth investigations using logs, behavioral analytics, and security data to validate potential threats
• Utilize SQL and Python to analyze large datasets and uncover attack patterns and anomalies
• Reduce false positives through continuous tuning and refinement of detection logic
• Collaborate with security teams to improve overall threat detection and response capabilities
• Provide actionable recommendations based on findings from threat hunting and vulnerability analysis
• Support a high-profile cybersecurity engagement within a secure enterprise environment
• Work onsite five days per week at the client's location
