Security Engineering Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Security Engineering Manager to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will guide a growing security function with a strong emphasis on compliance engineering, risk management, and hands-on security execution.

You will lead a remote team, partner closely with engineering and operational stakeholders, and help strengthen the security posture of a modern cloud-based environment.

The position is well suited for a leader who can balance technical depth with team development, clear communication, and disciplined delivery.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing security team with rigorous quality expectations
• Oversee compliance engineering to meet SOC, HIPAA, and HITRUST requirements
• Manage daily engineering efforts, ensuring efficient project execution
• Set clear performance expectations and review progress regularly
• Assess vulnerabilities and prioritize remediation based on risk

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in security or related roles, including at least 3 years in management
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC, HIPAA, and HITRUST
• Hands-on experience in application and endpoint security
• Exceptional written communication skills for synthesizing technical information
• Proven remote team management and cross-functional collaboration experience
