Security Officer – Mobile Patrol / Route Officer

We are looking for professional, reliable and switched-on Security Officers to join our team as Mobile Route Security Officers.

This is a varied role involving travelling between designated sites and routes, carrying out security duties and maintaining regular communication with our 24/7 Control Room.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Travelling between designated security routes and sites
• Carrying out regular security checks and patrols
• Monitoring and reporting any incidents, concerns or suspicious activity
• Maintaining clear and accurate records of patrols and incidents
• Keeping the Control Room updated throughout your shift
• Responding professionally to incidents and requests
• Liaising with clients, members of the public and other security personnel
• Following company procedures and site-specific instructions
• Representing the company professionally at all times

Driving Positions

Drivers are particularly encouraged to apply.

If you are able to drive as part of the role, you will receive an enhanced hourly rate compared with non-driving positions.

Fuel costs are paid, so you will not be expected to cover business mileage from your own pocket.

About You

• Confident communicating with a Control Room
• Able to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Physically capable of carrying out mobile patrol duties
• Comfortable working independently
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Able to use a mobile phone and basic digital systems
• Flexible regarding working locations and routes
• Well presented and customer-focused

Desirable Experience

Previous experience in security is preferred, although we will consider candidates with transferable experience.

Ex-military personnel, former police officers, prison officers, emergency services and other law-enforcement backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply.

A valid SIA licence is required where applicable.
