Role Overview

Our current opening is for a Security Field Engineer/Technician in our Lenexa office. Technician will be responsible for providing customers with the highest quality installations possible in an efficient and timely manner while assuring customer satisfaction.

As a Security Field Engineer (Technician), you will:

• Identify, analyze, and diagnosis systems and products at customer’s location.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Responsible for installing product and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to install, program, and diagnose systems.
• Provide updates to project managers.
• Ensure quality completion of project.
• Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.

• Experience with security systems, access control, VMS, or related technologies (preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose system issues efficiently
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
• Comfortable using hand tools and working in a field environment
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-first mindset
• Highly organized with the ability to document work and manage multiple tasks
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to learn new systems, technologies, and industry best practices
• Ability to collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure successful project completion

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation, including criminal and motor vehicle check
