Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Inspection Driver in Nashville, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections environment, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and armed guard card or license. You will deliver outstanding communication and customer service while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned government correctional facility areas, buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and screen or verify authorized entry and exit in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations, incidents, and unusual activity.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies for armed posts.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
