Security Guard

Duties

• Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems (CCTV) to oversee activity across the premises continuously.
• Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, verifying identification and issuing passes as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive zones to detect suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, coordinating with emergency responders when necessary.
• Perform loss prevention measures by inspecting for theft or vandalism and reporting any irregularities immediately.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
• Enforce company policies and safety protocols to uphold a secure environment for all personnel.

Requirements

• Proven experience in law enforcement or security roles is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV operation.
• Ability to remain alert and vigilant during long shifts while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Excellent observational skills with an eye for detail in identifying potential threats or hazards.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols that may include standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods.
• Must have a valid security license .
• First aid certificate is an asset.
