Security Guard

Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves monitoring property, enforcing safety protocols, and responding swiftly to incidents. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, excellent conflict management abilities, and relevant security experience. Prior law enforcement, military background, or certifications in first aid and CPR are highly valued. Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to oversee property and personnel
• Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies with appropriate action
• Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information as needed
• Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and effective conflict management techniques
• Administer first aid or CPR in emergency situations when necessary
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during investigations or incidents
• Conduct loss prevention activities to safeguard assets

Experience

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is a plus but not mandatory
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV is advantageous
• Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed
• Demonstrated ability to handle conflict situations calmly and effectively
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail in monitoring environments
• Ability to respond quickly and appropriately during emergencies or high-pressure situations
