Purpose of the Role

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at Eagle Tower for tenants, visitors, and staff. The role covers a fixed 5-hour shift each working day as part of the site's wider security rota, working alongside the Security Manager and other site security personnel to protect people, property, and assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor access to the building, including staffing reception/entry points and operating access control and CCTV systems
• Conduct regular patrols of the building, car park, and grounds to identify and report security or safety concerns
• Greet and direct visitors, contractors, and deliveries in line with site procedures
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, and follow escalation procedures
• Maintain accurate incident logs, visitor records, and shift handover notes
• Liaise with the Security Manager and wider maintenance/cleaning teams on day-to-day site issues
• Support fire safety procedures, including fire alarm testing and evacuation assistance
• Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and site-specific procedures
• Provide a courteous, professional first point of contact for tenants and visitors

Working Hours

25 hours per week, worked as 5 hours per day (05:00-10:00). Exact shift pattern and days to be agreed to fit the site's security rota, with flexibility to provide occasional cover as required.

Person Specification

• Previous experience in a security, concierge, or customer-facing role desirable
• SIA licence (or willingness to obtain one) preferred
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm and professional manner when handling incidents
• Basic First Aid certification desirable (or willingness to train)
