About You: Ideal candidates have some experience working in a licensed cannabis dispensary, a love of customer care, and the drive to be a part of a high-performing cannabis dispensary! Experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train and coach any new individual who is willing to put their best effort and pursue their passion for cannabis. This is a full-time (40-hour-per week) position.

Job Summary

We are seeking a professional, observant, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Security Guard. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers, patients, employees, and visitors. Security Guards serve as the first point of contact for guests entering the dispensary and play a critical role in ensuring compliance with state regulations, company policies, and security protocols.

Security Guards enjoy interacting with people while remaining alert to potential safety and security concerns. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service while monitoring facility security, verifying identification, controlling access points, responding to incidents, and supporting daily dispensary operations in accordance with applicable state and company regulations.

Responsibilities:

· Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and engaging with customers, patients, and visitors in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner.

· Converse and communicate effectively with diverse individuals and groups of people.

· Ensure local and state cannabis regulations are properly enforced and upheld.

· Verify customer and patient identification and ensure compliance with all age and access requirements.

· Monitor and control access to the dispensary, allowing entry only to authorized individuals.

· Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and other prohibited activities.

· Conduct routine security patrols of the facility, parking areas, and surrounding property.

· Observe and report suspicious behavior, security risks, safety hazards, and policy violations.

· Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, medical situations, and disturbances while following company procedures.

· Complete detailed and accurate incident, visitor, and activity reports.

· Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and other security equipment to ensure proper operation.

· Assist with opening and closing security procedures, including securing entrances, exits, and restricted areas.

· Protect company assets, employees, customers, and inventory through adherence to established security protocols.

· Collaborate with management and law enforcement when necessary regarding security concerns or incidents.

· Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns with professionalism and discretion.

· Maintain awareness of facility operations and promptly report maintenance, safety, security, or compliance concerns to management.

· Stay up-to-date on company policies, security procedures, emergency response protocols, and regulatory changes.

· Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure safety, security, compliance, and operational excellence.

· Inspect and verify detailed information, including customers' and patients' dates of birth, identification documents, visitor credentials, and authorization requirements.

· Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information and security-related matters.

· Adhere to security protocols to prevent theft and ensure the safety of customers, patients, employees, and company assets.

Requirements:

· Must possess a can-do attitude and be able to work with a team.

· Must be able to pass a background check and submit personal information for state licensing and fingerprinting.

· Must be 21 years of age or older.

· Possess valid driver’s license or state ID

· Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry

· Move inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds independently

· Remain in a stationary position, if required, to meet the needs of the business

Ideal Candidates:

· Have a knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods preferred.

· Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service.

· Can work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively

· Possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Are flexible and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

· Have customer service experience; preference for candidates with specialty, customer-facing retail experience

· Meet the scheduling and availability requirements (i.e., ability to work a schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends) to meet business needs

· Operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information and complying with HIPPA requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
