Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure continuous site security.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences, to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
• Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of visitors, contractors, and employees.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents by executing established emergency response procedures such as fire safety protocols or medical emergencies.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for record-keeping and future reference.
• Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of the screening process to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques effectively while maintaining professionalism during tense situations; utilize tools such as Taser or firearm handling when authorized and necessary.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism activities and collaborating with law enforcement when required.
• Conduct routine inspections including heavy lifting tasks and manual handling of equipment or materials to support physical security operations.
• Support emergency response efforts by administering first aid or CPR when needed, operating AED devices, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles, military service, law enforcement or related fields demonstrating strong physical security skills.
• Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems.
• Valid certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and firearm handling are highly desirable; additional certifications such as Taser use or conflict management training are a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clear incident reports and perform background checks efficiently.
• Strong conflict de-escalation skills with a calm demeanor under pressure; experience in conflict management is advantageous.
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols and loss prevention strategies.
• Ability to remain alert during long shifts involving patrolling, CCTV monitoring, or other physical security duties.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
