Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance systems continuously to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Conduct thorough patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and restricted zones, to maintain physical security.
• Manage access control systems by verifying identities and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities with clarity and accuracy.
• Perform background checks on new employees or visitors as part of the security screening process.
• Operate emergency equipment such as AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), fire extinguishers, and Taser devices when necessary.
• De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques to ensure safety while maintaining professionalism.
• Enforce compliance with security regulations and company policies at all times.
• Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring external intervention.
• Conduct routine inspections of security equipment and report maintenance needs promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience in physical security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable.
• Training in surveillance techniques, incident report writing, and emergency response procedures is preferred.
• Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and Taser use is advantageous.
• Familiarity with access control systems and performing background checks enhances effectiveness in this role.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely during patrols or incident management.
• Strong conflict de-escalation skills combined with excellent customer service abilities to foster positive interactions with staff and visitors.
• Knowledge of fire safety protocols, heavy lifting techniques, and compliance with security regulations ensures comprehensive protection standards are met.
