Security Guard

• Currently hiring experienced Security Guards for a site in Halifax. Availability: Must be available full time ( as the schedules are based on day, evenings and nights)

Position Summary

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and property
• Monitor premises using surveillance systems and conduct regular patrols
• Respond to incidents and emergencies with professionalism and vigilance
• Report directly to the Patrol Supervisor and Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure site safety and security
• Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, including providing first aid when required
• Enforce site rules and regulations to prevent loss or damage
• Collaborate with law enforcement as needed
• Maintain accurate daily logs and incident reports

Requirements

• Must be 19 years of age or older
• Minimum Grade 12 education
• Clean criminal record
• Valid First Aid Certification (must be completed through in-person training)
• Available on weekends
• Must currently reside in the Halifax Regional Municipality
