About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, vigilant and professional Security Guard to join our security team. You will play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, contractors and customers.

The successful candidate will be confident working independently, remain calm under pressure and have a proactive approach to identifying and preventing security risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and surveillance systems to identify suspicious activity, security breaches or potential risks.
• Carry out regular internal and external patrols of the premises.
• Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious behavior, theft, vandalism and other security concerns.
• Monitor and control access to the site, checking identification and credentials of employees, visitors, contractors and delivery personnel.
• Support loss prevention by remaining alert to potential theft, unauthorized activity and misconduct.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies and security incidents.
• Liaise with management, emergency services and relevant personnel when required.
• Provide basic first aid assistance when necessary, in accordance with company procedures and training.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records, including daily occurrence books, patrol logs, incident reports and access records.
• Follow all company security procedures, policies and health and safety requirements.
• Maintain a professional and approachable presence while representing the company.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Previous experience in security, guarding, surveillance or loss prevention is desirable.
• Confident using CCTV and other security/surveillance systems.
• Knowledgeable about security, loss prevention and access-control procedures.
• Able to remain alert and focused during extended shifts.
• Calm, professional and confident when dealing with challenging situations.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, visitors and members of the public.
• First aid knowledge or a valid First Aid qualification is advantageous.
