Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure continuous site security.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and restricted zones, to identify potential security risks.
• Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for visitors, contractors, and employees.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies following established emergency response procedures.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities with clarity and accuracy.
• Perform background checks on new personnel as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security regulations.
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques effectively while maintaining professionalism and safety during tense situations.

Skills

• Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and monitoring multiple feeds simultaneously.
• Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and familiarity with performing background checks.
• Ability to handle emergency situations confidently using first aid skills, CPR certification, AED operation, and fire safety protocols.
• Proficiency in using access control systems and security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where permitted), and physical security tools.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with visitors and staff.
• Physical fitness for heavy lifting, manual handling, patrolling duties, and standing or walking for extended periods.
• Conflict management expertise with a focus on conflict de-escalation and compliance with security regulations.
