Job Purpose

The Security Officer is the gatekeeper of Volto – the calm, professional presence that keeps our guests safe and our nights running smoothly. This role is about more than control; it’s about welcoming guests with respect, handling challenges with confidence, and ensuring the Volto experience is secure without losing its energy.

Role Overview

As a Security Officer, you’ll manage guest entry, ID checks, and age verification at the door. Inside the venue, you’ll maintain visibility, monitor guest behaviour, and be ready to diffuse conflicts before they escalate. Your responsibility also includes supporting emergency procedures, coordinating with management, and ensuring licensing laws and safety standards are always respected.

You are the first and last point of contact for many guests, so your professionalism reflects directly on Volto’s reputation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct guest entry checks, including ID verification and bag checks, with professionalism.
• Monitor guest behaviour inside the venue, maintaining visibility to prevent issues.
• Diffuse conflicts calmly and respectfully, escalating only when necessary.
• Support emergency procedures, including evacuations and first aid response.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, age restrictions, and safety standards.
• Liaise with the Head of Security and management regarding incidents and risks.
• Write incident reports and maintain accurate security logs for accountability.
• Provide a visible presence at entry and exit points to reassure guests and deter misconduct.
• Assist in managing crowd control during peak hours and special events.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a balance of security and hospitality.
• Represent Volto’s brand with professionalism, respect, and discretion at all times.

A Security Officer at Volto is observant, confident, and composed. You stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly with guests, and enforce rules without hostility. You combine authority with hospitality – ensuring every guest feels safe while keeping the venue’s vibe intact.

Qualifications & Experience

• 2+ years of security or guest-facing experience (hospitality or nightlife preferred).
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Knowledge of age verification, safety, and crowd control procedures.
• Formal security training or certification (preferred).

Pay: From BD230.000 per month
