JOB DESCRIPTION – SECURITY GUARD

Job Location: Manufacturing Plant, Thirumudivakkam, Chennai
Shift: 12 Hours (Day / Night Shift, as applicable)

Job Summary

We are looking for a disciplined, alert, and responsible Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of company premises, employees, visitors, materials, and assets at our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control entry and exit of employees, visitors, vendors, and vehicles.
• Maintain visitor registers, vehicle entry/exit registers, and material movement records.
• Verify gate passes and material movement documents before allowing materials to enter or leave the premises.
• Conduct regular security patrols of the factory premises, including production areas, warehouses, and parking areas.
• Monitor and report suspicious activities, unauthorized access, theft, or safety violations.
• Ensure proper checking of incoming and outgoing vehicles and materials as per company procedures.
• Assist in emergency situations, fire incidents, and evacuation procedures.
• Ensure all gates, doors, and restricted areas are secured as required.
• Report incidents, irregularities, and security concerns immediately to the Administration Department.
• Maintain discipline and follow company security policies and procedures.
• Perform shift handover and communicate pending issues to the incoming security personnel.
• Perform other security-related duties assigned by the management.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Minimum 10th or 12th standard preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in security; manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
• Skills: Good observation, discipline, communication, and basic record-keeping skills.
• Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit to perform security duties and patrols.
• Languages: Tamil; basic English is an advantage.
• Personal Qualities: Honest, punctual, alert, responsible, and well-disciplined.

Working Conditions

• Shift duration: 12 hours, subject to applicable labour laws and approved duty arrangements.
• Day and night shifts may apply.
• Weekly off and overtime, wherever applicable, will be provided as per applicable law and company policy.
• Must comply with factory security and safety procedures.
