JOB DESCRIPTION: SECURITY GUARD

Location: Site / Works premises

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To protect company property, materials, equipment, and personnel by controlling access, patrolling the premises, and reporting any security or safety incidents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and control entry and exit of employees, workers, visitors, and vehicles; maintain gate registers

• Verify ID cards, gate passes, and material movement documents before allowing entry or exit

• Check incoming and outgoing vehicles, materials, and goods against challans and authorisations

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, yards, warehouses, and fabrication areas

• Prevent theft, pilferage, trespassing, and unauthorised access

• Watch for fire hazards, safety violations, and unsafe conditions, and report them immediately

• Operate and monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems where installed

• Respond to emergencies (fire, accidents, security breaches) and follow the emergency procedure

• Maintain accurate daily logs, visitor records, key registers, and incident reports

• Ensure workers and visitors follow PPE and site safety norms at the gate

• Hand over shift details and pending issues to the relieving guard

• Follow instructions from management and the security supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Class 8 to 10 pass (higher secondary preferred)

• 1 to 3 years of security experience preferred; ex-servicemen encouraged to apply

• Security guard training certificate (PSARA) preferred

• Basic ability to read, write, and maintain registers in Bengali and Hindi; basic English is an advantage

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

• Alert, honest, disciplined, and punctual

• Good observation and communication skills

• Physically fit, able to stand and patrol for long hours

• Basic knowledge of firefighting equipment and first aid is an advantage

• Willingness to work night shifts and rotational duty

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Shift-based duty (day and night), including Sundays and holidays as per roster

• Outdoor work in an industrial environment

• Uniform and safety gear provided by the company

COMPENSATION

As per company norms and experience, with applicable statutory benefits.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹19,000.00 per month
