Security Guard

1. Job Purpose

To ensure the safety and security of company premises, employees, visitors, materials, equipment and other assets by maintaining effective access control, conducting regular patrolling, preventing unauthorized activities and promptly reporting security incidents.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Access Control: Monitor entry and exit gates and ensure that employees, visitors, contractors and vehicles enter the premises only with proper authorization.
• Visitor Management: Verify visitor identities, maintain visitor registers, issue entry passes and coordinate with concerned departments.
• Material Movement: Verify material gate passes, delivery challans and other authorized documents for incoming and outgoing materials, as per company procedures.
• Vehicle Checking: Inspect vehicles entering and leaving the premises and maintain the necessary vehicle movement records.
• Patrolling: Conduct regular patrols of the plant, warehouses, offices, boundary walls, parking areas and other designated locations.
• Asset Protection: Prevent theft, pilferage, unauthorized removal of company property and damage to company assets.
• Employee Safety: Maintain vigilance and ensure compliance with company security rules and applicable entry procedures.
• Emergency Response: Immediately report fire, accidents, suspicious activities, unauthorized access and other emergencies to the concerned authorities.
• Fire and Safety Awareness: Understand basic fire prevention procedures, the location of fire extinguishers and emergency exits, and follow emergency response instructions.
• Register Maintenance: Maintain gate registers, visitor records, vehicle logs, material movement records and daily occurrence reports accurately.
• Discipline and Vigilance: Maintain discipline at entry and exit points and report any suspicious behaviour or violation of company rules.
• Shift Handover: Ensure proper handover of duties, keys, registers, equipment and pending security matters to the incoming shift.
• Confidentiality: Protect confidential company information and prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Coordination: Coordinate with the Security Supervisor, Administration, HR, Stores, Dispatch and other concerned departments whenever required.
• Other Duties: Perform any other security-related duties assigned by the reporting authority in the interest of organizational safety and security.

3. Educational Qualification

• Minimum qualification: 10th Pass, preferably 12th Pass.
• Basic reading, writing and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to understand instructions and maintain security registers.

4. Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in security duties, preferably in a manufacturing plant, factory, warehouse or industrial establishment.
• Freshers with suitable physical fitness, alertness and willingness to learn may also be considered.

5. Skills and Competencies

• Alertness, vigilance and observation skills.
• Honesty, integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Good discipline, punctuality and professional conduct.
• Basic communication skills in the local language and Hindi; knowledge of English is desirable.
• Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately during emergencies.
• Basic awareness of industrial safety, fire prevention and emergency procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.

6. Other Requirements

• Physically fit and medically suitable for assigned security duties.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, as required.
• Willingness to undergo background verification and security training.
• Must comply with company security procedures and applicable statutory requirements.

7. Key Performance Expectations

• Effective control of unauthorized entry and exit.
• Accurate maintenance of security registers and records.
• Timely reporting of incidents, violations and suspicious activities.
• Compliance with security procedures and shift handover requirements.
• Protection of company assets and maintenance of discipline at assigned posts.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
