POSITION SUMMARY: The Security position provides a safe and secure environment at Fireweed Cannabis Company for staff, vendors and patrons to be able to conduct business. This post requires strong observation skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and confidentiality. It is a critical role that holds the standard and imperative to maintain state and tribal regulations and laws that govern a cannabis retail store operation.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

● Provide Security for organizational assets in accordance with established policies and procedures.● Perform repetitive duties: checking ID’s, regular patrols of the surrounding area, correct unsafe or unsecured situations and review camera footage.● Demonstrate excellent guest service skills and cooperate with other staff and vendors in providing information, assistance and service.● Provide medical assistance. Detect & correct safety and/or security problems that could endanger others. Notification to escalate problems or situations to Management and Authorities as needed.● Accomplish specific assignments, understand and comply with detailed verbal and written instructions. Appropriately react to incidents and make decisions under stress/duress. Complete clear, concise written reports as required by policy/procedure.● Exercise reasonable care and attention when handling organizational assets to prevent loss or damage. May be called upon to physically stop a suspect to prevent escape, prevent personal injury and loss of or damage to organizational resources.● Comply with the confidentiality policy as it relates to the release or disclosure of organizational information.● Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

●Comply with laws and policies regarding AGE RESTRICTED SALES by only allowing 21 and older in store based on ID check.●Complete tasks daily, weekly, and monthly. Ensure all reports are completed on time with quality information that is alignment with the Security Policy.●Observe emergency, safety and security procedures; be prepared to determine appropriate action, identify issues within the store that require updates to procedures, proactively report potentially unsafe conditions, use equipment and materials properly.●Adhere to an established work schedule. Consistently arrive at work on time, ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent, arrive at meetings and appointments on time.●Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability

required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

● High School Diploma / GED; plus

● One (1) year experience and/or training in first responder, law enforcement,

security or related field;

● One (1) year experience within a high-volume customer service position or

conflict management, with exceptional service skills; or

● Valid/current certification in First Aid with CPR.

● Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or law enforcement preferred.

● Able to work varied days and shifts, including weekends, nights and holidays.

● Organization, problem solving, time management, communications, and team player skills.

● Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written information and maintain a safe working

environment.

● Ability to identify and report all potentially dangerous situations.

● Prepared to respond to emergencies when they occur by following procedures and policies.

● Minimum 21 years of age. Must possess a valid driver’s license or state ID. Must pass any required

background checks.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education Required:

● The successful candidate will have a High School diploma; or a combined equivalent of education

and experience that demonstrates the abilities to perform the essential functions of the position is

required.

Experience:

● Minimum One (1) year experience and/or training in first responder, law enforcement,

security or related field

● One (1) year experience within a high-volume customer service position or

conflict management, with exceptional service skills;

Other Requirements:

● Must be able to pass a thorough pre-employment background investigation.

● Must agree to be subject to the Tribe's Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Policy to

include pre-employment screening, excluding marijuana.

Additional Information:

• Hourly position, compensation will be determined based on experience and starts at

$23.50.

The work environment includes a retail environment in a controlled atmosphere building.
