About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and alert Security Guard to maintain the safety, security, and integrity of our premises. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact at the entrance, ensuring a warm welcome for authorised guests while actively safeguarding from unauthorised access.

The ideal candidate combines strong vigilance with customer service, possesses dependable communication and smartphone skills, and is comfortable conducting routine foot patrols both in daytime and nighttime.

Key Responsibilities

• Access Control & Unit Protection: Monitor entry points to strictly prevent unauthorised individuals, trespassers, or unverified visitors from accessing units or restricted zones.
• Visitor & Vehicle Processing: Welcome incoming guests, verify credentials, and accurately log all pedestrian and vehicle traffic (names, license plates, purpose of visit, and destination).
• Patrols & Monitoring: Conduct regular, scheduled walk-arounds across the property to check doors, gates, perimeters, lighting, and common areas.
• Incident Response & Deterrence: Maintain a visible security presence. In the event of a disturbance, trespass, or emergency, respond promptly using available security deterrents, initiate the on-site panic button, and contact emergency services or backup response teams.
• Logging & Reporting: Complete legible daily shift logs, visitor registries, and incident reports. Promptly escalate urgent matters to management via phone or messaging apps.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Literacy Skills: Strong reading and writing proficiency to read guest IDs, verify documentation, and write clear, legible daily activity and incident reports.
• Cellphone Literate: Confident using a smartphone for communication, clocking in/out, shift group messaging, and photo logging if required.
• Service Mindset: Professional, friendly, and approachable attitude when engaging with residents, clients, and guests.
• Conflict Resolution & Firmness: Ability to remain calm, professional, and firm when de-escalating conflicts or turning away barred individuals.
• Physical Capability: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine walking patrols in varying weather conditions.
• Eligibility: Valid Security Guard Registration [e.g. PSIRA registration] and clean background check.
• Fully equipped post with panic alert systems and communication tools
• Uniform provided
