Security Guard

Job Purpose

To ensure the safety and security of patients, attendants, visitors, doctors, employees, hospital premises, equipment, and assets. The Security Guard will be responsible for maintaining discipline, controlling access, monitoring movement, and responding promptly to any security-related incident.

Key Responsibilities

1. ICU Security & Monitoring

• Control and monitor entry and exit of patients' attendants and visitors in the ICU area.
• Allow entry only to authorized persons as per hospital policy.
• Maintain proper discipline and prevent overcrowding near the ICU.
• Monitor visitor movement and report any suspicious activity immediately.
• Assist hospital staff during emergencies or security-related situations.
• Ensure that unauthorized photography/video recording is not permitted where restricted.

2. Emergency (EMG) Area

• Maintain security and discipline at the Emergency entrance and waiting area.
• Control the movement of patients, attendants, visitors, and vehicles.
• Handle crowd management during emergency cases.
• Immediately inform the Security Supervisor/Administration in case of any dispute, violence, or suspicious activity.
• Ensure emergency access routes remain clear for ambulances and emergency vehicles.
• Support hospital staff during medico-legal or sensitive cases as required.

3. Main Gate Deployment

• Monitor all entry and exit points of the hospital.
• Check and control the movement of visitors, staff, vendors, and vehicles.
• Maintain visitor/vehicle entry records wherever required.
• Prevent unauthorized persons from entering restricted areas.
• Guide patients and visitors regarding hospital departments and facilities.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing hospital material/equipment as per hospital policy.
• Ensure ambulances and emergency vehicles receive priority access.
• Maintain proper discipline at the main gate.

4. Accounts Office Security

• Maintain security and access control around the Accounts/Cash Office.
• Prevent unauthorized persons from entering restricted office areas.
• Maintain confidentiality and security around cash-handling areas.
• Monitor suspicious movement and immediately report any concern to the Security Supervisor/Administration.
• Provide assistance during cash movement or other sensitive activities when instructed by authorized management personnel.

5. Basement Deployment

• Monitor the basement area, including parking and restricted areas.
• Control vehicle movement and ensure proper parking discipline.
• Monitor unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
• Keep emergency access routes and fire exits clear.
• Report suspicious persons, unattended items, damage, or safety hazards immediately.
• Conduct regular rounds of the assigned basement area.

General Security Responsibilities

• Remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.
• Conduct regular rounds of assigned areas.
• Report any theft, loss, damage, suspicious activity, or security incident immediately.
• Assist in crowd control during emergencies.
• Support hospital staff during fire, evacuation, disaster, or other emergency situations.
• Maintain proper behavior and communication with patients, attendants, visitors, and staff.
• Follow all hospital security policies, SOPs, and instructions from management.
• Maintain proper handover/takeover at the end of each shift.
• Maintain security registers and incident reports as required.
• Wear the prescribed uniform and ID card while on duty.
• Maintain punctuality and proper attendance.
• Do not leave the assigned post without permission or proper replacement.

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum Qualification: 10th Pass / 12th Pass preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years of security experience preferred, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.
• Ex-servicemen and candidates with hospital security experience may be preferred.

Deployment Areas

ICU | Emergency (EMG) | Main Gate | Accounts Office | Basement/Parking | Other Hospital Areas as Required

Working Conditions

• Rotational shifts, including night shifts.
• Standing and patrolling for extended periods.
• Must be available for emergency situations whenever required.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
